June's here already?!?

I can't believe today is June 1st. The month of May just flew by. I haven't updated the blog lately, but we are all doing great. In May, Aidan graduated from preschool. He even got to wear a cap & gown! We also registered him for kindergarten. May had lots of sunny days and we enjoyed playing outside and going to area parks quite often. It's definitely getting to be summer here. We've been having 90+ degree temperatures everyday. Our neighborhood pool officially opens this week so it will be nice to have a close place to swim and cool down.

About two weeks ago, I decided it was time to start potty training both "C" and Olivia. They were both showing lots of signals that they were ready & Olivia has been interested in wearing big girl pants for several months now. Potty training two toddlers at once is definitely stressful at times especially for the first few days! However, the advantage is that "C" and Olivia like to copy each other. So, if one goes to the bathroom then the other one likes to go also. And, if one is wearing big kid pants then the other one wants the same. Now, we are down to only having occasional accidents, but we do have to remind them to go often. They both need to work at vocalizing when they need to use the bathroom.

June is a busy month for us. We now have two June birthdays! "C" will be turning 3 and Aidan is turning 5. The kids are very excited for our upcoming visitors - we have both sets of Grandparents coming to visit this month for a few days each. It will be their first times meeting "C". We have shown "C" everyone's photos before, so I hope he won't be too shy around them while they are here.
