Labor Day weekend fun!

Labor Day weekend was a lot of fun (and busy!) this year for our family.  We began by traveling Friday evening to celebrate a wonderful lady's 99th birthday.  It's Daniel's great-grandma and the kids' great-great-grandmother.  It was a fun party and she seemed to really enjoy it.  Turning ninety-nine is such a great milestone, we can't wait until the party for her one-hundredth next year!!

We awoke Saturday morning and journeyed to my small hometown for a fun Labor Day parade.  

It was really hot.  We were very thankful that they passed out free popsicles.

The firetrucks were a huge hit with everyone. 

We ended the fun weekend with a trip to the zoo.
